On March 1, 2008, the Dr. Raisuddin Foundation Education Award 2008 will be formally awarded to the selected institutions and teachers and other individuals on a national basis in a large ceremony that will be organised and conducted in the Charkashim Nagar High School Field in Belabo Upozilla of Narsingdi District, Bangladesh. The main purpose of this award giving program is to encourage and inspire the teachers and educational institutions through giving recognition to their service in the education sector for the nation. The DRF firmly believes that the recipients of these awards have rendered sincere and dedicated teaching service in order to prepare well educated, right manpower who will uphold the Bangladeshi national spirit and will render dedicated service to the nation in various ways in an effort to build a strong and economically prosperous country. Artists of the Cultural Wing of DRF will perform patriotic songs in the ceremony.

All teachers of the Narsingdi District, government officials, members of the Narsingdi Press Club, some Dhaka city based senior university academics, foreign diplomats, high ranking army officers, business personalities, TV and News Media will attended to the ceremony as invited guests.

A large number of scholarships will be offered to the financially needy and bright students studying in different educational institutions in Narsingdi District in the very near future.

General as well as technical and medical educational institutions of international standard will be established by DRF in Dhaka city and also in Narsingdi District which is aimed to be created as a model for educational development in Bangladesh. Ground works for the establishment of such educational institutions and to run them with we trained and highly experienced Bangladeshi and overseas teachers are currently underway.
